stuff there are so gentle and flexible
Nicely decorated lobby, very helpful staff, very clean, nice rooms, calm location, free pick-up service, felt like home. The location is good as the tram station is few minutes walk but might be difficult to find for the first time so I strongly advice the use of free pick-up service instead of taxi. A tip: the owners lived in the Netherlands for a long time so Dutch guests might be especially happy as they could talk in their mother tongue.
The hotel is very new and it offers a pick up service that is free of charge. The owners of the hotel are very kind and helpfull. You feel like in your house. The breakfast is good. The hotel is close to Old Town by tramway just nearly twenty minutes. It is also very close to Ilidza. The tramway is five minutes distance. The room is clean and comfortable.
The owner of the hotel pick-up me from bus station to hotel and from hotel to airport. And the room is clean and well designed.(owner's choice interior)
If you come to the hotel by yourself, it is difficult to find the hotel.(not located the main street.)
Nice new hotel with clean rooms.
Location. It was hard to find. The surronding is still not perfect but in a few years there will be new buildings around it.
Ahar is a new Hotel. You may feel like home. Everything was nice.
The staff were very nice and able to provide everything we needed including a local cabbie that spoke English. The breakfasts were great with an assortment of fresh foods and the rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Note however that this hotel is several miles from downtown and very difficult to find. The cab driver from the train station charged 25 euros while thecabbie provided to us charged only 7 euros (for a longer drive).
Very helpful staff, also both mother and son (the owners) were very polite and nice. Took us to see al Sarajevo giving the best informations about the city. Also a new hotel with beautiful furniture.
No. Everything was perfect.
the staff was very considerate and help full. i felt like a part of the family
the location is a little out of town so the that was a problem the first night but the owner was kind enough to give me a lift to the centar and a quick brief about the tram system
Very helpful and friendly management, they came and picked us up late at night from bus station. Large room and the hotel is brand new so everything is spotless. Located close to airport to which the owner dropped us off at when we left. Very quiet area at night.
Located in a developing suberb so a little out of the way but only a 5minute walk to tramline that takes you into town.
Recently built Hotel Ahar has a nice design and managed by the owner family. People are nice. Breakfast is nice. Transfers to bus stataion and airport makes the vacation more pleasant.if you feel glad by satisfying basic needs it is a good hotel.
no hairdryer, bathing towels were little bit small...
Quiet, friendly staff, new and modern.
The location is terrible! It takes half an hour to get to the centre by tram (not 10 minutes as advised by the manager), and the trams stop at 11.30pm, so if you're planning a late night out in Sarajevo, it will cost you around 10 Euros for a taxi. Steep! And that's if the driver finds the place. Keep a mental note of the trail from the main road.
The owner was an extremely pleasant chap who always went the extra mile to look after us, including picking us up from the bus station at 5.30am. The rooms were affordable, good shower room facilities and very comfortable beds. Breakfast is simple buffet but good quality. I recommend staying here.
The only thing to mention is the location, which is a bit out of town, but tram 3 is cheap and regular and goes between the centre of town to within a few hundred yards of the hotel. Trams stop at about midnight, taxi thereafter costs equivalent of about 8 euros
The people who run the hostel is very nice. He's clean.
If you do not have a car, far away. The site is impossible to find, there is no indication for any site and truly is hidden and besides the house has put up a sign to indicate that the hotel, which is indistinguishable from the other, the numbering of the houses follow a continuity along the street ...
Friend and I had stayed there over a weekend recently. The place is family owned by extremely friendly people who recently came back from Netherlands. It is little bit in the suburbs, but than again close to the tram (7-8 min walk). The owner offers free pick-up service from the airport or railway/bus station and we recommend to use it. Our late evening bus was 45 min late and the owner waited for us and we are very grateful for his kindness. The rooms are correct and clean, especially the bathroom. The place is very quiet. Breakfast was really nice. We consider Ahar hotel to be best buy in the mid/low range hotels especially because of the kind and helpful owners, clean rooms and homey atmosphere that secure pleasant time in Sarajevo.
Some improvements can be made in the rooms like for instance better curtains and TV controller that works. But non of that had impact on our stay.
